Group Meeting

I’ve only been awake for 45 minutes and this day has already been crazy. I rolled out of bed to a few text messages about our Literature & Society group meeting in the library. I guess the girl in charge said she was going to be late, but she ended up being here a lot earlier than the rest of us.

My first thought upon waking up was COFFEE. I brushed my teeth, threw on some clothes and headed over to the dining hall. The first thing I hear when I walk in is, “its okay. I’m in Andrew Gorman’s hallway. You just never hear me because it’s quiet housing!” A white lie, I guess. Jeff, one of the more charismatic writing majors living off campus, was trying to score a free breakfast without a meal plan. I was his alibi and I don’t think he was expecting me to be there. After he got thrown out by Lynn, one of the cafeteria workers, he came back and sat down to eat. I ended up having coffee with him and Emory.

While I was walking up the hill I got a ride from a hung-over junior who was borrowing his mother’s car. I guess he lost his keys at a bar, and since then his car has been parked there—too frozen to be towed. It was nice of him to stop and let me hitch a ride, though.

Now for a day full of academic cramming.
