The first day back at work was relatively trouble-free. My body aches and I just want to curl up next to the fire with a book, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I spent 3/5 of my shift outside in the parking lot pushing carriages around. My shift leader actually had to come out and tell me how long I had been out there. Time is tricky.
I’ve been doing too much reading. Reading can only be considered ‘too much’ when it interferes with writing, and only so if you’re trying to be a writer.
On Thursday, right after work, I will be playing Santa Claus for a bunch of little brats. I think I was chosen because I’m the only one who finds it socially acceptable to hold my large stomach when I laugh. Either way, I’m getting some cash for it so I can get started on my books for next semester.
